AFS and Capitalist Partners are also developing a $100m investment vehicle for a diverse set of rapid growth sectors. Using a new approach tailored to Afghanistan, the Fund will create 10 new large scale enterprises and recruit the best and brightest to run them at international standards.
With funding from private and public investors from around the globe, the vehicle aims to deliver significant returns for shareholders as well as increase direct and indirect employment in a sustainable manner. In addition to private sales, exit options include initial public offerings on the upcoming Afghanistan Stock Exchange.
