AFS will be supporting the collateral registry to record liens on residential houses financed through the Islamic mortgage program. Both the Collateral Registry and the Credit Bureau would be linked to the new biometric national identity card program to verify identity.
These programs will be developed to include vetting during all financial processes such as a bank accounts, business licenses, employment checks and land titles. The new national identity program may be referenced when issuing birth and death certificates, academic diplomas, driver's licenses, and even during criminal or civil cases.
